The Roots of Dirt | The Design Evolution of the Early Mountain Bike

Back in the 1970's a bunch of California hippies changed the world with some new stuff they built in their garages. Heard it before?

It wasn't computers. It was bikes. Mountain bikes to be exact. But back then they were called "clunkers" or "klunkers." Go for a ride with Charlie Kelly and Joe Breeze, two of the guys there at the very beginning who still ride together 40 years later.
